With the support of the European Hydrogen Safety Panel (EHSP), the Clean Hydrogen Joint Undertaking organised the Safety Planning and Management in EU Hydrogen and fuel cell projects webinar to provide guidance on safety planning, monitoring, and reporting for hydrogen and fuel cell projects in Europe.

The European Hydrogen Safety Panel (EHSP) participated in Day 3 of the 10th International Seminar on Fire and Explosion Hazards with the following Agenda.

During the webinar, the EHSP experts provided an overview of the capabilities of CFD for supporting hydrogen safety analysis, providing an overview of the role and the use of CFD for hydrogen safety analysis in different hydrogen energy applications, alongside the lessons learned and best practices in the use of CFD for hydrogen safety aspects.

The International Conference on Hydrogen Safety (ICHS) is a biennial event organized by HySafe since 2005, serving as a global platform for sharing knowledge on hydrogen safety. It brings together experts from academia, industry, and government to advance safety standards and support the safe adoption of hydrogen technologies. Co-organized with the IEA Hydrogen Task 37 and endorsed by key organizations like FCH JU, the U.S. DoE, and IPHE, ICHS has been hosted in major cities worldwide. The conference fosters international collaboration and plays a vital role in shaping hydrogen safety practices and regulations.

European Hydrogen Week 2025 will take place from 29 September to 3 October at The Square in Brussels, serving as Europe’s flagship event for hydrogen innovation, policy, and market development. Organized by Hydrogen Europe and supported by the European Commission, the event will bring together industry leaders, researchers, and policymakers to shape the future of the hydrogen economy.
